‘A Cornucopia of Entertainment!’

The Roseland Festival was formed in 2006. The driving force was Greg Williams, our first Chairman, and his wife Christine, who did sterling job as secretary. Although no longer on the committee it is with great thanks to them that the Roseland Festival continues and goes from strength to strength and is now an established annual event on the Roseland, supported by visitors and locals alike.

Past popular events have included Alex Polizzi, Patrick Gale, The Roseland Poets, Pentangle and Show of Hands.

Over the last seven years the Festival has gradually developed but has not lost its original concept of bringing different types of music, drama, talks and much more to the Roseland. Our mission is to foster and encourage young people in their love of music, art and creativity and to support local organisations and charities through donations.Venues all over the Roseland peninsula host our events and though we may not get to every hamlet every year, we do try! Our aim is to use as many of the smaller village halls as well as the larger halls and churches.

In the winter we have committee meetings which are held in local pubs in front of log fires. As there is always such enthusiasm for the next year’s programme there is no danger of dropping off!

Our thanks go to so many organisations, businesses and people who have supported us, we just can’t mention you all, but thank you to all our friends past, present and future.

Andy Thomas, Chairman.
